Am I missing anything in booty hole?

Went digging in my booty hole and was curious if anything was missing. Plus, anyone know what the hook in the second photo is for? I believe it was hanging in there somewhere. I heard something fall, which prompted me to dig in said booty hole. Thoughts, concerns, trash talk is all welcome but please help me by gazing into my booty hole. Thank you.

That hook is to keep the bag anchored and from rattling about.

Rethread it through the rectangular hole and attach it to the bag strap.

I believe the hook is for the opposite end of the rubber band that holds the tire iron kit in place.
It looks like your kit is already held in place by that band, but I can not see the end.

Iron kit seems fairly firm in place. I was just concerned I was missing another component other than the jack itself and the blag bag of irons and such. Looks like I have everything that the vehicle came with?

Hi, new to the forum. I bought my 4Runner pre-owned. Drove through some roads with potholes and eventually heard some noise back there. Drove me crazy for weeks.

Had to buy an inspection camera/endoscope to find the noise. It was the wheel lock (which I was able to fish out with a magnet). I wouldn't put anything small in the pouch because it doesn't zip and will eventually slip out.

The idea with the locking lug key is to know where it is 3 years from now when you need it. I store a breaker bar in that space (it slides forward and fits snug) with that lug key taped to it.

Since we're on this topic - it's a good time to practice lowering the spare and inspecting things plus checking spare tire pressure. Fitting the end of the rod into the square hole in the lowering assembly isn't the easiest thing to do. Practice helps here - especially if you have to do it for real on a dark rainy night!

The 2013 SR5 doesn't have TPMS in the spare; and it mounts with the valve stem up - so there is no way to check pressure without lowering it. Other years and models may have TPMS in the spare, but it's still a good idea to inspect and practice.

I was adding nerf bars on my 2020, and used the jack (and jack stands) to give myself additional room to move while putting them on.

Tip: Check/use the jack once now when you dont need it. The screws to secure the jack handle extensions were painted in place, blocking insertion of the extension pieces.

At the side of the road without tools I wouldn't have been able to put the full handle together.

With the amount of torque those lug nuts have on them, you pretty much need a breaker bar. I have always stashed one in my cars and it's saved me more than once.

The crevices in that back area seem vast and plentiful. Is there a bottom in sight using that inspection camera? Looks like anything dropped down there would be a goner.

The bottom isn't deep but not easy to move a hand around in. It tapers and there are other brackets in the area so if you drop something smaller than a socket it's tricky to get out. Using a magnet wasn't the easiest because it was sticking to the walls.
