Anybody here use Adams Polishes on their 5th gen?

There are lots of brands in the detailing world now. I have used a few of the Adams products and they are great. You really can't go wrong with their products. Shine Supply is also a great brand with some great products. There is also Masterson's and McKees 37 products. Beside the basics I think it is all about preference on brands. Of course you can never go wrong with the Meguiars Professional line. Their APC for a gallon is about $17 and you can dilute it for wheels, tires, wheel wells, and also your interior. Great stuff!

I just used their newish Iron Remover product and their new Visco Clay Bar and got alot of paint contaminants and rail dust off my 2016 white 4R... that stuff works pretty well as i had some really big rail dust spots and was slightly freakign out. I lubricated with their Detail Spray. Also just invested in all the hardware for DIY car washes and getting off the drive-thru carwash nip. Longterm it'll save money, and probably keep the paint overall in better shape.

they are always running some sort fo 15% off sale if you watch their Instagram page. I just saved a ton of dough on their foam gun, buckets, lots of various towels, H20 Guard, and other products.

15% off is a bit light.
They all do 25% off at some point in the year.

Doesn't really matter which company you use for most products, they all work well.
I myself use ONR sometimes, but normally just use regular car wash and wash normally with 2 buckets. I do use fancy soap as I can get them on sale an in gallon sizes.

What I will say however, is to really look into spray on, rinse off sealants like the one from Mckee's. With the size of all 4R's, it is the difference of saving about 99% in effort level and time to apply the product.

I used to use Optimum's Opti Seal, steps are: Wash, rinse, dry, wipe on, walk away, wipe off heavy areas if any. That was a quick product.

But with Mckee's spray on, rinse off, the steps are: Wash, spray (optional: vaguely spread) final rinse, dry. Much quicker. I parked one of my 4R's over the winter, and it seems to still exist on the paint after 6+ months.. YMMV

Where brands do matter is when you start going technical and utilizing machine polishing. Some polishes work well to refine a sister compound, others have much longer work time but require a wipedown due to oils, and others are simply a completely different animal for MF pads and sprayable form factor. For regular soap/clay/sealants/waxes, just pick one that's convenient to buy, smells nice, or maybe they share your same first name.

In short, nothing wrong/great about Adams' polishes, I get all my stuff from autopia/autogeek.

There are literally hundreds of products people are willing to sell you. I'm a pro detailer and keep things very streamlined. Generally speaking, one solid product will take care of 3 or 4 steps that certain product lines will try and sell you on. i.e. - cleaners. 1 good APC is fine - you don't need separate glass, wheel, tire, leather, door jamb, carpet, engine and dashboard cleaners. Check out APEX detail, or Dallas Paint Correction videos on the YouTube - they are straight and to the point about technique and have good product advice. I have never used Adams so I can't comment on them specifically, and FWIW, no one I know in my business uses Adams products.
