When I asked, the vendor told me he hadn't received the slides yet. I'm not sure why he didn't communicate this to us.

But I did receive the straps/tie-down. Odd that you didn't.

I only plan to run a single battery but I upgraded to a Group 31 Odyssey with the Pelfreybilt battery cage. I figure I will see if I have issues and really need dual batteries before I jump into that.

That is weird on the straps. I got my straps with my fridge on Monday. Two different boxes/tracking numbers but I got them both same time.
 
Got an update from vendor on the slides:

Waiting for a firm ETA --
Last word is the container with the slides is clearing customs and should be in any day.
Will be shipped as soon as possible
 
Hey guys,

I looked over my notes and I realized that I missed where the vendor told me some of the slides didn't get shipped because they were backordered at ARB.

That was my fault for overseeing it and not communicating it with you in the first place.

How do you plan on wiring directly? Are you going to cut the 12 volt cable? I guess I didn't realize there wouldn't just be an extra hardwire wire.

I don't want the extra plug in my truck either. It's only useful for one thing and I plan to run my fridge 24/7.

Yeah I did cut the plug off. I left enough of a pigtail to be able to use it down the line if I choose to but I think the hard wired route will serve my needs better. I got all the wiring done except the terminations right at the new Blue Sea fuse block in the engine bay. Ran out of time before my trip to Cleveland so I will have to wrap that part up when I return next week.

Dumb question, but does polarity matter on the 12-volt plug? I haven't found anyone else installing with this method, so just want to double check.

Sorry I have been out of state so haven't been on the forum. But yes it does matter. It's been over a week since I was messing with this wiring but on the 12V plug the center pole will be the positive and the two side tabs will be the ground. I think when I checked it with my meter that the black wire with the silver stripe was the center pole wire which would be positive and the all black wire was then the negative. I would double-check that for yourself before wiring up though as I am not sure when I will get time to finish my wiring and verify that again.
 
For those waiting on slides, per the vendor, the slides finally cleared customs and are heading towards ARB to get distributed to the vendor.

I received my slide yesterday. Still missing the tie-downs, but I figure I'll wait another week or two before I worry about that.

I didn't order a fridge, so it might be coming separately. I'll see what's here or not by Friday-I'm not going to do anything before then anyways.

I agree with Austinmarti - The only thing that was delayed, according to my notes, was the slides.

Shoot him an email, if you want to wait another week, that's not a problem either. Just depends on your patience :)
