 Stupid mother freakin touch less car wash!! So after going out in the snow, mud and water last night the runna needed a wash, I didn't want to go to a touch car wash so the local one in town was a touch less. I go everything is fine, until i get home a few hours ago and realize that the person standing there was using a brush on the car!! There are scratches EVERYWHERE!! In someplace's its so bad the paint is dull!! Now I JUST detailed this car a week ago and know every scratch and nick and dent, I baby this car like hell and until now you could almost never see any scratches now there everywhere!! Tomorrow I'm going there and giving them a huge piece of my mind. :cannon: So This was more a rant then a post but, I need a good product to get those scratches out. I am VERY anal about cleanliness so yes it DOES bother me alot. End Rant.

Wow, that sucks man! I would start with the lightest polishes and work my way up. If you want over the counter products try Meguiars Color-X and if that doesnt work try stepping up to something like Mother Power Polish. Do you have a random orbital polisher? If not, look into a Porter Cable 7424. It is perfect for a beginner and you CAN NOT do any harm to your paint unless you use a nasty compound or something. I posted it before but join http://autopia.org/ these guys are amazing and you will so much about car detailing there that your head will be spinning.

Thanks qballjr13 I have a 6" random orbit polisher (its a Coleman and it is about 1000 RPM) It was only $15 and I used it for the boat because it was oxidized. I think I'll post my prob at that forum and get a pro's advice. Man is it just me or has this winter been sort of depressing? lol Oh and what kind of pad should I use?

Why is it their fault ?

If its touchless nothing should be touching your truck . Who touched your truck and why ?

Kinda not understanding.

Definitely post on autopia. I dont think the Coleman will cut it. They will probably tell you to go the porter cable route. I would make the car wash place pay for a Pro detail to get those scratches out. I hope you got the name of the person that did the brushing on your 4runner.
