Auto-Zone: Clearance on Motor Oil

Found out this today.
1 quart is $2 and a gallon is $10
Most are Castrol and Valvoline synthetic blend and Full Synthetic

Stopped by the local Auto Zone on my lunch break and they didn't have anything on sale for less than $4.50/ qt. The Valvoline Max Life syn blend was 6.99/ qt and their full syn was 9.49/ qt. I wonder if this was online only or something.

Oh... I am sorry, the store worker told me the clearance is nationwide. Last time they did it, a forum member posted it here and it was nationwide.

I saw the same thing in Advance Auto a couple of weeks ago. $2 conventional quarts and $5 synthetic quarts. The same store was actually giving away fluids a month before that, likely branded CARQUEST from their merger and local car quest store closing.

I stopped in at my local AutoZone and there were clearance oils. Most of them were weird weights like 0W 40 and stuff like that. I did not see any clearances on standard 5W-30 or 10W-30 . they were two dollars a quart or $10 for a jug ,there were some well-known brands like Castrol Valvoline and

I stopped today and my friend said the clearance was going on for 2 months. I missed it. Every empty row was the special. They sold last stuff early this week.
