Been a good run!

Well had to make the choice to sell the 4runner and upsize. My wife and I just had our third child (and last lol). The 4runner was a bit of a tight squeeze anymore with three car seats. So I went back fo my former love and got a full-size F150.





Im gonna miss the 4runner as she was quick, nimble and fun!

Truthfully, Im not fond of the looks of the tundra and I was ready to get back into a truck.

I've got an '11 tundra RW CM and I love it. Way roomier than a Ford Crewcab and personally I think looks way nicer.

5th Gen is still a bit cramped when you compare it to the 1/2 tons..

I love my Tacomas and 4Runners... You can pretty much consider me a total Toyota fanboy... but when it comes to 1/2 ton and larger trucks, I go American.

If I ever sell my 1500 for anything it will be a 2500 HD turbo diesel and Toyota has nothing to really compete in that space.

OP... why not keep both? , personally I could not imagine giving up one for the other. Both of them are very useful, very fun, and for very different reasons.

Im not really a ford fan myself, but they make a solid truck.

I find the Tundra overpriced for a 1/2 ton truck... for that much I can get into a 3/4 ton diesel and get a lot more capability for the same price.

If he still wanted a 1/2 ton, he could have also bought a Raptor for Tundra money... thats a ford truck I wouldn't mind owning.

And of course you can get a 3/4 ton diesel cause that's what it would take Even come close to a Tundra capabilities or a Raptor for that matter cause in the end neither have a reliable Toyota motor.
Just To add I had the 2011 Ford F-150 platinum edition which I picked up new drove it for a couple years and now brother owns, my reply was simply a jab and to show a in every way looks more like a truck than a pretty over the top chromed out f 150 but that's all it is a shiny chromed out nerdy business guy or older mans truck ..so they can feel like a man owning and driving urrrr tough truck that will never see dirt or pull anything and let's hope not cause it can't do either or. And to top it off the governor on them is at 90 mph everything shuts down ..little Toyota Corolla can blow right by your so capable f150

And just one more thing your comment on buying American when it comes to trucks ...well peep this I will let you in on a secret the Tundra is 90% built in America, in Texas.and is the only Toyota done this way. and to top it is more American built than any other truck in its class. More than any Chevy or Ford truck ...Food for thought.

Common man the space shuttle thing is just marketing, they pulled it slow as shit for a short distance... the Tundra will never be, and will never do the type of work a 2500 diesel has been doing for years. Its just a different class of truck. Its not worth the time comparing it. How many Tundras do you see pulling large 5th wheel toy haulers.

That said I would never buy an American mid-size/compact truck either... Ill stick with my Tacoma and day of the week.

For me its about maintenance and parts availability as well. Finding parts and accessories for a 1500 or F150 is a lot easier. Same goes for the Tacoma when compared to the Colorado.

Either way, I was just voicing my opinion, I still think the Tundra is a sweet truck, it just isn't for me. It really is a middle ground between the 1500 and 2500 series of trucks... there is a market for it, but it has a pretty hefty premium attached when compared to other options.

Not to knock the Tundra because its a fine truck. But, I'd take this F-150....

over this Tundra any day ....
