Black Friday Deals Tools Needed

Hey thought this might be a good place to post up where the best deals are to be had. I've never gotten into the whole Black Friday hoopla but this year I am in need of my own tools. I am sick of borrowing from friends or making do with some crappy stuff that's lying around. For the most part I try spend a bit more to buy quality and have it last forever-ish.

Here's what I am thinking I need to get started for home maintenance and repairs.

Rolling toolbox: Something big enough to grow into but not huge. Probably Craftsmen.

Floor Jack: Don't know a whole lot about size needed and brand to get.

Jack Stands: Will Harbor Freights do? Don't really care for most of their stuff and generally don't buy from them.

Compressor: Would be nice to have, size?

Sockets and extensions: Thinking Craftsmen again.

Dewalt impact driver and drill: I've seen some ads for sets at pretty reasonable prices.

Anything else?

So feel free to post up your thoughts and deals you've seen. Also what you may be getting or have gotten.

ive gotten just about everything craftsman except my HF tool box.

Toolbox

i just bought a craftsman toolbox for $180 or something... just a small rolling one with 6 drawers. Then, I was looking online at Lowes and I found this one.

it had so many good reviews, I had to check it out. I don't normally like Task Force stuff that much, but this thing is WAY sturdier and more well built than the craftsman one I bought. so the craftsman is going back. I'm sure some of the more expensive craftsman ones are better, but for under $200, this thing is pretty nice.

Im with ya......craftsman is great and if i can afford it that is where I go.
I have had a couple of purchases with DuraLast (Autozone) and Husky (Home Depot) that i needed in a pinch. Both offer a lifetime guarentee on there products, just thought I would mention that.

Harbor Freights mechanized tools are crap but i do find myself picking up pliers, allen wrenches, and other non mechanized tools from there. anybody else buy that stuff or am i just wasting my money??

I try not to buy from Harbor Freight if I can avoid it. But, I'm with you on the stuff that you would basically have to snap in half to break. I'm sure that'll stand up just fine. I'm not sure I would trust much else though.
