Seems pretty ironic in light of bible bigots recent outrage about that Duck Dynasty jed. All that clamoring about free speech and what not. Guess it works both ways.

lot of controversy over what he's alleged already.

Great op-ed. I agree the Vikings were within their rights as employer, same with A&E and that Duck Dynasty inbred. It's the bigger picture that matters.

I haven't really followed this story - why'd he wait so long to change his tune in the press of the reasons he was let go in the first place? Did something just come out that brought this back up for conversation?

He explains in the article why he waited. Didn't want to affect his former teammates during the season, and now that the spec teams coach is up for head coaching jobs, he felt people needed to know how he was.

No doubt both sides have their slant and facts have yet to emerge.

But I definitely feel an investigation into the coach is warranted, Kluwe's account smacks of truth and is a lot more believable than a canned "but I have gay friends!" public relations response.

I'd love to see the truth come out, even if I'm totally wrong.

Hmm.. I thought it had to do with his high salary, poor punting average, and his inability to nail opposing teams inside their own 20. If his outspoken nature was the only problem, another team would have scooped him up by now. He couldn't get on with the Raiders or Bears, if that tells you anything...


Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinions (I actually side with him on this issue), but you don't have to be outspoken to make a difference.
