Coating non PVC coated stainless steel brake lines???

I recently bought some Explorer Pro Comp SS brake lines. They are not coated with PVC like most SS lines are. I have read that the non coated lines are prone to premature failure as dirt will get into the braid and wear into the line beneath.

I would like to coat them with something. Preferably a clear or translucent color to still be able to see the ss braid. Does anyone know of a product that might work? I was thinking plasti-dip.
