I have been wanting to check that trail out, to bad I will be in Vail this weekend. have you been on that trail before?

Just so you know if you don't already, it's a long very bumpy road to get to the relatively short trail.

No I have not been on that trail before it looks really nice but I wanna cruise through some water and from the looks of it theres alot of water.lol... but also wanna try some fishing up at the lake over there.. Have any of you fished up there? any good fishing? figured I would take my family to this one..

Yeah So I actually never went up in October I had some issues with the alightnment on the truck and never fixed it untill about 2 months ago.. about to head up there to Jennys creek tomorrow.. taking the fam camping and a few friends in their rig's.

I really wanna try out TWIN CONE so let me know if you wanna plan a trip for June or July looks like some rough terrain up there.. its close to Jefferson Lake up 285 past Bailey if your interested.. can find it on Traildamage.com

We were up there a couple weeks ago, not sure if anyone has made it thru yet, but if you run the trail by going upstream then you might run into some fallen trees after you go thru the portion of it where you drive thru the creek.

I also heard that there was a huge wall of snow on the main road right near Yankee doodle and Jenny Lakes. of course, that was 2 weeks ago now, probably melted alot since then.

let us know if its clear now.

I went up there today and its almost all melted up top. Just past Yankee Doodle there is about 10' of solid ice/snow 3' deep or so. I say "ice" because I was there in the am and it was pretty solid. It should be melted after this weeks heat. I wouldn't mind making a run up there again in 2 weeks when I'm off.

We went up Had a Blast but was not able to shoot upstream because my buddies Alternator went out.. but we got to do alot of wheeling prior to Jenny creek.. another one of my Friends went up there on Saturday and said the Ice was blocking access to the lake but he hiked up to the lake went fishing caught a couple decent size trout from what he said..

We took 4 different trails and we had to drive over or get out with the chain saw to chop down fallen trees in the way on every trail.. must have cut 5 thick trees and drove over many.. plan on going again soon though.. after I get some lockers and some sliders I would like to go to Twin Cone..

Found an eXcellent Camping spot up there just before the Jenny creek trail begins.. big open Grassy spot nice backdrop for shooting.. little stream and right next to a split off too 5 trails
