i have cooper discoverers right now....had them for 76000 miles. figured i'd let yall know. not the best tires for offroading, but did a dang good job throughout their life. cant wait for the 255 85 km2s. on black steelies.

my biggest complaint: sidewall stiffness straight SUCKS. i hear my tires flexing just driving on reg pavent all the time. and thats with proper pressure in them. i think i will be much happier with the stiff wall of the km2 255's

i have the same tires with 82,xxx on them they got like 2,000mi max left on them. i do agree the side wall sucks but at $60 for the tire they make a good snow tire

That is quite impressive. I am even more impressed give the fact that you were able to achieve that in Charleston, which if others don't know the roads aren't the smoothest in the nation. The paving of Folly Rd recently, according to my padre, has been a big plus.

Coopers don't get much exposure here, but they are a good tire in general.

I just got the Cooper Discoverer AT’s. $137 each at Discount and they matched a $50 Off coupon for Big O. I like them. I did break the rear lose in a 2nd gear toque around a corner in the rain.

That was every corner in the rain in 2nd gear for me, hell i felt like a D1 drifter. I now have Firestone destination LE's i have been trying hard to get um to let loose, and even a 5" deep puddle at 40mph and nothing.

Not much rain in San Diego so I think it was more of a rain/oil slick slide. I was shocked... with new tires I thought. Major grip otherwise. :driving:

I happen to be on Friars which is above the valley... but yeah I hear you, very poor engineering. :fishing:
