Couple post 2" body lift questions

I installed my 2" body lift over the weekend. Afterwards, I noticed the steering is noticeably firmer/tighter with more on center feel (less sloppy). I suppose this is a result of the steering extension which probably tightens up clearances at the rag joint. Is this a pretty normal phenomenon?

Second question: I have an 02 and on the 4Crawler site he says the stock front bumper mounts need modifications to use the bumper relocation bracket. Is there an easy way to modify the stock mounts to eliminate the bumper gap? (I've searched a ton in advance)

For your first question, yes it is common and mine did the same exact thing. I actually prefer the feel more than I did when it didn't have the BL.

Second question, I didn't use a relocation bracket. I simply measured two inches difference on the bumper mount and drilled. This made it possible to mount the bumper back up using nothing extra.

i stuffed the little steering extension in and drove it and it was super stiff and hated it, finally got the nut lose and tightened it and it was back to normal.

and i just went to the scrap yard and picked up some plate steel and drilled holes and measured 2" up, or down what ever way, and put it back on, was pretty easy and cost $5 not $30+ for them ordered

There is a little coupling thingy on the steering shaft under the dash. Loosen the bolt on the coupler and shake the steering wheel back and forth a few times. Tighten up the coupler bolt and see if that helps!

Thanks TFJ. I ended up using your photo as a model and got it done today. Was easier than I thought it would be once I was able to use your photo to figure out where to drill.
