That's on my bucket list. I'd really like to ride the Mountain course, and achieve a respectable average speed over the 37.73 mile course.
The rider I admired the most, is the late David Jefferies. He was a man of larger stature, (like me) who was also the fastest.
Thanks for posting that. I think I need to just take the time off from my regular racing related job, and just go for it. I'll look into registering for '16.
They say it takes about 3 years of running there, to really become familiar with the course.
