Cross referencing part #'s

I'm curious about cross referencing part #'s with other vehicles. I am shipping my 01 overseas on the 14th to Europe where I will be for a few years. Well part numbers there match our numbers stateside? Was the 4 runner even sold there? I bought this 4Runner specifically to ship over with me figuring parts would be easier to get if needed versus a Ford or something. I've gone thru vehicle last couple months but never know if I will need something down the road the next few years. Just want to be prepared. Thanks

toyodiy.com has a reverse search feature that will take a part number and show you all the models and years it was used on, and you can filter by N. America, Europe, Japan and General. Exactly what you need. Just put a part number into the search box on any page, and it will offer you the reverse option.

For the third-gen, the model there was labelled HiLux Surf. For later Gens, the US model was a totally different platform.

Here is a link to a forum similar to ours in the UK.
