Dealer inventory and pricing

This was shocking to me...went by my local dealer, very large high volume place, to drop for service. They only had ONE new 4runner in stock. It was a 2wd yes, a 2wd blinged out with a 15k mall crawler package, winch, lift, tires etc....
Total price was 55k....I paid less than 50 for my 20 pro. I couldn't believe the price and the fact that they did that to a 2wd.

Listed price was 50K (MSRP plus add ons) but what were they asking for it 60K due to a 10k market value? its nuts now...

It’s management doing those dumb things. They should not have a say in what modifications are made to new vehicles. I check in to see my salesman when I go to the dealership and he has some good stories about that type of behavior. I notice those things and question him to get a chuckle out of that stuff since they have to try and sell that crap.

My uncle was a designer for Mickey Thompson and crewed for him at Indy, in Baja. One year Bill Stroppe and he were pre-runners. They ran the whole course in a 2WD P/U with a Warn winch. Took longer but they got themselves unstuck.

My cousin was given a Stroppe Bronco as a wedding present!

Take away a the lame package at 15k and the msrp is 39 k which is about right.
