Does the Classifieds section need some terms of use?

Floating this here for discussion... I'm a relative newbie here, but check this site almost every day since I joined six months ago, and since I bought my 3rd gen the Classifieds are one of the first places I start.

Increasingly I see one or more of the following:

- Hey I'm selling some stuff, come get it! (no location given)
- Hey I'm selling something, make me an offer!
- Dunno if I want to sell, maybe I will if I get the right price...
- Hey here's my item I'm selling up on eBay!

Like I said I'm a newb, so maybe that's just how things are done here. But it's been bugging me a little, especially since most other forums I visit have at least a couple rules (state location, state a price, no auctions or links, etc).

I agree that most other sites mandate Location and Price and if not posted it will be removed. I also agree that this is a good policy. However sometimes people will post links to auctions or stuff they find on CL or E-bay that are not theirs if they find it is a good deal and others on here might be interested.

Other sites also prohibit "post dumping". Or crapping on someone's ad.

As in, original post: "I'm selling this widgit for $50"

Next post: "You're crazy, I've seen those widgits for $30! No one's gonna buy that! Good Luck!"

If you have a problem with something that a member is selling PM that person. Not everything needs to be posted publicly. First off, it may not be the same widgit, it may be modded, or who knows what. And if the second poster is wrong, the whole ad is tainted, and most likely, no one will buy that item - especially for what the OP was asking for.

Common sense & maturity also come in to play but I won't go there. :rockthrow:
Been seeing a lot of this on T4R lately...

I forgot to mention that (thanks)... does seem like a fair amount of "thread-crapping" occurs as well.
