Driveline vibration

I have an 03 V8 with 323k. I’m getting a driveline vibration at around 40mph and about 1300 rpm. It feels like one is going over a rumble strip and goes away when speed is increased or decreased. It lasts for a few secs and then goes away. It doesn’t happen on moderate to higher acceleration and going up through the gears.

Any idea what this might be? It’s hard to tell if it is in the front or rear of vehicle.

Sounds like the transmission/torque converter shudder, search the forum for "rumble strip" and or "transmission shudder", there are several topics about this subject and or a transmission fluid flush.

Has the transmission fluid ever been changed/flushed?

Most have solved this issue by doing a transmission fluid flush and most also add the "Shudder Fixx" additive.
