Hmmm....I live in Dallas - within a couple of miles of both cases.
Maybe I can snag a sticker from one of the cleanup teams in the vicinity - or maybe y'all will see the second 4Runner to be towed away. :tape:

Man, that is really scary, I will be back in Fort Worth next week for a few days and I honestly have a bit of reservation. I read an article last night that said the CDC is considering the possibility that the virus may have gone airborne.

When/if this happens, life, as we know it in the USA, will change dramatically. If there ever was a time for prayer, now is that time!
 
OK. Observation here.... why is the tow guy not wearing any protective equipment other than cute lavender latex/vinyl gloves?

I call bullshit.

Probably because it is currently not airborne and requires a host to provide aerosolized particles for it to travel on. Where as dealing with a patient means a higher potential for particulates that could be forcibly expelled from the patient (i.e. blood, sneezing, vomiting, ect.)

I mean, I personally would want a hazmat suit, but as far as the science checks out (based on some mild searching of science papers on the Google) the disease is mostly communicable via direct contact with fluids/matter that is infected/contains viral particulates. So as long as you're wearing protective materials that prevent direct skin contact and avoid getting any on your clothing, it should be fine.

It lives for about 12 hours on fluids just left whenever (lugie from a cough on a surface as long as it is still moist) the drying kills is. Just adding to your accurate analysis.

With Halloween coming up, I think I'll just ride around in a hazmat suit. :wacko:
