Eibach Pro-Truck Sport Shock Review (4th Gen)

I decided to try out Eibach's Pro-Truck shocks for my 4Runner. This is my first SUV/Truck type vehicle and it has 163,000 miles on it so I decided it was time to get new shocks. I have only owned the 4Runner for about a year now. I mostly tow my race car and just use it as a daily driver. I have taken it off road only once but I wanted something that would level out the height but still give me a great ride.

I went with Eibach Pro-Truck Sport shocks for the rear and Eibach Pro-Truck Sport Leveling (RHA) for the front. I decided to stick with the OEM springs.

Per recommendation by Eibach we set the front shocks to go the third clip from bottom since I wanted it level. My cousin actually installed the shocks for me and he did a great job. My old OEM shocks were beyond rusty and gone. After the installation the ride is great and the front is definitely level to the rear now. The braking feels much better because the front of the 4Runner doesn't nose dive like it used to. I'll be towing my car next week so I'm excited to feel the difference in towing too! Let me know if anyone has any questions, I'd really recommend these.

Lift Amount: Oh, I forgot to measure the height distance before but after front and rear have about 6 inches between the liner and top of the tire if that helps, I'd like to know what the stock height is if anyone remembers.

Looks good! Ive been wondering about the eibach shocks/struts. Be nice to have another option comparable to the Bilstein 5100's. Can I ask where and how much you purchased them?

Thanks for posting the review. I'm wondering if you installed the perches upside down though. If they were 5100s, the answer would be yes. These are a similar design and if you look at the product photos on Amazon, etc it shows them the other way around.

What's odd is that, if they are infact upside down I'd expect your lift to be considerably higher.

Looks good! Ive been wondering about the eibach shocks/struts. Be nice to have another option comparable to the Bilstein 5100's. Can I ask where and how much you purchased them?

I wonder if Eibach manufactures those shocks in-house or farms it out, because I have a set of NOS (New Old Stock) Edelbrock IAS that look eerily similar, even the aluminum front lower spring perch.

No problems and rides great! Even had a friend borrow it and he was impressed how it rode for a SUV

Looks good just curious why you didn't do the springs while you were at it. 163k miles is alot on the OEM set.

Honestly didn't even think about it at the time, I'll probably have them replaced soon with Eibach springs

The rear shocks look suspiciously similar to the toytec boss rears I have. I guess makes sense I think toytec contracts them out to eibach.

yes, eibach makes toytec's springs.
