Blew my 3rd member at the FJ Fallout this year... :censored:

Hubby got me a .373 with e locker from a guy in the club. Next thing I know the whole rear end of my rig is up on saw horses being ground and drilled into.... I won't lie I thought I was screwed and would be calling salvage yards on Monday. Long story short I have this pretty new switch and a rear e locker! Ryan said the swap was pretty easy. I know he got tons of help from Spencer Phillips from GATOR and a bunch of the local club guys but I love it!

Wanted to post about my happiness. Pics to come.

V8 4.7 now with E-locker and center locker. Also have a TRD supercharger missing the accessory kit.

I can take that defective and incomplete TRD Supercharger kit off your hands. :)

Post Note-

For future reference, I would chock the front wheels next time you guys set the vehicle up on ramps like that for extra safety. But other than that it looks awesome! :) Also some Baby Oil or "Plastic Restorer" will bring those grey plastic trim panels back to life. :)

Lol we just paid $800 to have it built in Buda,Tx. It was installed when we purchased the truck and ran like mad but died fast since no oil cooler or any thing other than the pulley and the belt basically.

Ouch... How badly burned up is it? Salvageable or just toasted beyond repair? :( (Sorry if we're getting away from your thread, I'm just now genuinely interested in how it failed and such, analytical brain and all that X_x )

Thought I was the only one thinking, "damn, I hope they are in 4wd with CD locked on those ramps!" Yikes.

Nope lol the guys used wheel chucks. They do a ton of this work so they are pretty well equipped for it.
Those are gnarly pinion pics, any info on how the break happened? I know the 8" diffs are a bit weak. I would be looking for salvage 8.2 axles from 2010+ models.

Oh yea, toss that stupid paper diff gasket in the trash and use RTV.

Broke on a trail called Feeder Creek at Hidden Falls adventure park. Front couldn't grab traction , locked the lsd up and bound up the rear end with 33" MTs. Pretty much all she wrote had to have her towed home.

My truck's not in the video but you should see the general idea. This was the event I was at
