Found Complete 3rd Gen Elocker Axle in SoCal. Pics...

Hey guys, I found a complete elocker axle at the San Bernardino Pick-a-Part if anyone's interested. It's still under the truck and it has the 3rd member, the actuator motor, and wiring harness still attached. I took the factory RR Diff Lock dash switch out of the wrecked 4Runner because I thought it would be cool to wire my ARB up to a factory switch, but if anyone buys the axle, I'll sell you the switch for what I paid for it. AFAIK, all elocked 3rd gens have 4.30 gears and the front diff was also still attached to the truck if you want that too. You can also just pull the 3rd w/ the elocker and motor instead of the whole axle if you want to (cheaper). Here are some pics...

haha, yip! I got some door light triggers so my interior lights will come on when I open the doors again, a bolt cover for my windshield wiper, and a new drivers seat because the frame was shot on mine from years of wheelin. :biggrin2:

I made a little bracket and spacer to lift the rear of the drivers seat about 1" I like it much better but I'm afraid it will put extra stress on the seat frame, which I fear will send me to a pick a part in the future.

How much were they selling it for? Does anyone think that there would be a way i can get it shipped up to me in Montreal,Canada? I've been looking for one around here for months!!!! Someone help PLEASE, it's driving me crazy how hard it isto find one here!!! :sobbing:

I know this is a fairly old thread but I just wanted to clarify that the stock locked diff also have 4.10 gears. My '96 has the locker and 4.10s.

You're right they do exist. The vast majority are 4.30s in 4runners and 4.11s in Tacomas, but there are some oddballs from the facory.

If anyone has the time to go there, I will buy the little actuator on this axle...

It'll take you 15 minutes Max to remove it, and I'll pay for the part, the shipping, and of course, your time !!!

I just linked this to a guy on Yotatech who needs a complete axle after getting hit-and-run, so don't cannibalize it yet, he may need it!

no way, we have 4runners out the wazoo here in Denver...

there are like 3 or 4 salvage yards just for toyotas... tons of them around...
