FOX 2.O rear shocks opinions

I have searched on here, but have only found reviews for the fox w/ resi shocks.
I have superflexes on the rear and have been looking at the 5100s, but I've read some negative stuff about the longevity of them. Now, I'm won't do any hardcore off roading, so I've been looking at the Fox 2.0 (FOX-980-24-679). Does anyone have any reviews on them?

the 5100s for the price are a good choice, and if there are issues they have a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser. that being said having to swap out shocks more often than you'd like is a bit of a hassle

as far as the foxes go, i have heard good reviews on them on this site, can't remember where though, but for the money id probably buy icon vs 2.0's, more people run those and love them, not icons best option, but a slight step up from the 5100s, [MENTION=84680]wadle5[/MENTION] just installed them, he can probably provide a more detailed review

Not Hardcore

Yeah I originally had the Billie 5100s for almost a year and a half and I should preface that I by no means did anything extreme that would have tested them to their limits, so naturally I was upset with how long they did NOT last. To correct this I did go with something that is more proven, has a good record on honoring their warranty and went with the Icons 2.0. Have I heard negatives about fox, No in fact it also seems they make many more models as well across all car makes and models. But I know that the ICON's have had just great reviews with the Toyota following so I went with those. In regards to install. . cut and dry, plain and simple, direct bolt on with no modifications! So far loving them

I personally run the Fox 2.0's in the rear. They have been absolutely fantastic so far. You will not be disappointed. Definitely going to put them to limits this weekend in Anza Borrego and will report back. Unfortunately, my only comparison are stock shocks.

The Icon VS2.0s ride real nice too, I loved em. The only reason I sold mine was to get Icon 2.5 piggyback shocks.

Those Fox shocks are IFP (internal floating piston) which act like an internal reservoir. Aluminum body so they dissipate heat 3x faster than the steel body, so no need for the external reservoir. Can be rebuilt by Fox or Off Road Warehouse.
