Go with OME Kit !!!

Go with the OLD MAN EMU Kit For like $700.00 you get New coils and shocks ..Costs about $400.00 to have Local shop Install and add another $70.00 for front end align ....Thats what it cost me anyway ..I use BFgoodrich all terrain s Size 265/75/16 Gained good Body clearance and a Bit of ground clearance ..you can get the OME Kit in either a medium spring rate or Stiff....I went stiff Because I am adding an ARB bumper ($1100.00)when I get my George Bush Economic Stimulis Check and ShockRock Rock Sliders($495.00) So I went stiff because the sliders Weight 114 pounds and the bumper is about 120 w/o winch .

Nice job, I have the OME as well. Purchased my setup from Slee Offroad and had them prebuild the fronts so it was a pretty easy install not having to mess with spring compressors.

Aftermarket wheels are available with increased offset which push the wheels out giving a more aggressive stance and clearance. You can also get a wider wheel that gives an improved look (imo) and ability to amount certain tires not available for the stock 7.5" (i think) wheel. Many are lighter than the stock wheels as well.

The only reason I new is because I have the same size and it looks the same so I new it couldn't be 285.

They allow you to fit 285's without wheel spacers. Since you are sticking with 265's, stock rims work fine.

Is/was the ride really stiiff with the Heavy OME installed without all the rocksliders and ARB bumper? I know down the road I would like to invest in a Shrockworks or ARB Bumper, but until then I do not want a miserable ride to deal with if I install the OME to prep for it. Thanks!

What exactly are you considering the "Heavy OME"? Give the guys at Slee Offroad a call, they know this setup inside and out.

Here is what it is now .
Are you really going to off road your 4 runner or just kinda ??
If Just Kinda the mediums would be fine .I used the heavys because with ARB Bumper and Winch it added Like 270Lbs.
And Its as Smooth as glass off road The rear is starting to come around now and is Awesome when I have a load of any type.

I love that bumper, too. If I actually went real offroading and was out of warranty, that is the look I would go for.. Looks sweet

It's a bumper from ARB. One of the nicest ones around. ARB make some quality stuff. They also sell lockers and air compressors also.
I have sold and installed alot of these.....

ARB bumpers are quality and the look is great. Provides protection and greatly improves approach angles.

The only reasons for A/M wheels IMO are:

1) Looks.
2) can fit larger than 265 size tire without spacers.
3) Usually have a more aggressive offset which adds lateral stability(won't roll-over as easy).

Yes Its an ARB bumper( $1100.00) with a WARn M8000 Winch (on sale $ 500.00) OME Springs/Shock Kit ($735.00)With Some Sort of KC Driving Lights ... I listed the pRICES i PAID ....From 4 Wheel Parts in Mesa ,Arizona . Just So If Anyone was wondering about $$ This may help as a Guide .. Not the Absolute bottom line prices but not gouged either. I chose not to buy the ARB light Kit(300.00) for the Fog Light Holes in the Bumper/ But rather find light ing on my own ..( I have several buddies who have them and they do nothing to enhance sight ).
Right Now I am Having some Custom fabrication Done and will complete in about 8 weeks ..I will Post pics when complete as It may get some interest!!!!!!!!!
I think its gonna be cool....!

And YES Approach angles are Sick now !!! Getting Close to FJ cruiser on Approach Almost !! ( but am working on Better departure Right Now !! hint to above post)The Height is great...It truley helps Bring out (or give you the ability) better wheeling
