Ordering Weathertech's all around today.

Looking into putting 2 inches on the front and 1 in the back, and then adding 265/70r17's with sequioa Wheels on it.

Will remove sidesteps soon.

Magnum low tone motorcycle horn is on the list.

TODAY IS A GOOOOD DAY.

Nice score. Your build will be fun to follow since we have the same year and white/silver cladding combo.

I've wanted to put the Sequoia/Tundra LTD 17" wheels on but gave up on the hunt for a bargain since I needed tires bad!

If you're interested, here's a link to my build. I've only had my 4Runner for 6 months but its coming along!

Nice! Congrats! That's one of the paint schemes I really wanted! Looks amazing with color matched aftermarket bumpers.

Congrats again!

EASY Guys, Ive only been gone since friday. Pics will come!!

Thanks for all your input.

So anyway, I took my new lady out for her maiden voyage to Eufala and Yost for the week, Averaged 20.3 mpg on the way there and it ran very smoothly. Took her to a good local trail at the lake and did some trial crawling. The T-case is about like butter and contrary to my old beliefs, Awd on the trail can be pretty useful!! I can easily see why its touted to be an ultra capable SUV.

I need to ask you all something though, is a failed temp gauge a common thing for these? I need to find its problem before is causes me one. I knowingly bought it with a broken one.

Also can i disconnect that dammed antenna? Its stuck half way up and looks just fine; however, my favorite car wash will rip it off with the rolling brush if its up, and the grinding sound when the radio starts up and shuts down Isn't too great either.

Thanks ALL!

Can't say I've heard of the bad temp gauge often, maybe someone else can chime in.

You can order a new antenna online. Simple to replace. When I did mine I also wired in a manual switch. It goes up and down now when I want it to, not when the radio is off/on. Listening to XM or IPOD alot I got tired of it always functioning, no more!

Check to see when or if your radiator has been replaced. A new Koyo may be the best money you'll ever spend.

You can also use a Tacoma "whip" antenna fyi, I believe there are a couple write-ups in here about it. I know when mine finally goes I will be replacing with the Tacoma whip so I don't have to deal with another mechanical unit.

Congrats! Does the temp gauge read at all? sometimes? pegged to hot? Why do you want 2" of lift in the front and only 1" in rear?

The temp gauge simply lays down flat. just sticks to the bottom. Never the top.

And an antenna that is above the hood isn't needed for quality radio. If i could just pull it back down to the off position and disconnect the motor I will likely be happy with it. If Im not, ill just do the "taco whip mod" i suppose.

Update: Just ordered in a Set of TRD rock warrior stickers, Silvania Silverstar Ultra's, and then Weather tech first rows are on the way.

Is there any other good option for a cargo liner and second row floor liner that isn't so darned expensive? Or do i need to suck it up and buy them? Are weathertexh liners really worth +$300?

And for the lift question, I don't want it to look lifted up. Just to look obviously 4wd and highly capable. (Factory special maybe) Nothing flashy, nothing massive. Just big enough that when its looked at there is an obvious rugged quality to it. 2 inches in the front and 1 in the back should lift it up, but not be noticeably lifted. Just simply better looking.

I got my front Husky liners for ~$65 shipped and they as goos as Weathertechs IMO. I don't remember what the rears go for, but they were cheaper than the fronts.

Lifting the front more than the rear gives the appearance that the rear coils are old and saggy (even if they are brand new). The prerunner look on our trucks just isn't a win IMO. That's a taste thing and that's just my opinion. Something to think about though before you buy a lift.

The antenna motor is kind of a PITA to get to. It would probably be easier to just pound the antenna back down into it's hole, then take the stereo out and cut the wire that goes to the antenna motor and tells it to turn on. I planned on doing that and never did. Then my antenna got torn off by an ice chunk this winter. So it's been CDs only for me.

lookin good!

As per the small lift.... I agree with Brian2sun, it will look old and sloppy if you lift the front 2" and the rear 1". If you dont carry much cargo and want a small lift maybe look at the OME 881 front and 906 rear combo. Its about 1.5-2.0" of lift depending on your model year.... probly more like 2" for your truck.

By lift time I'll have it all figured out. Put new lights in tonight. Heading to 4wheelparts tomorrow to order in the 2nd row WeatherTech liner, believe it or not they have the lowest price on the net for that perticular part.:wtf: Not by much yet still. Surprised me!

I Plan to take it into a mechanic around town this week to have checked over thoroughly.. I don't sense any issues about it. But before i modify it, i want to put my money on the things that keep it operational. And also to have the LBJ's checked.
