Hello! Picked up my truck on Monday. You guys are actually pretty familiar with the truck I bought. Its PBR's '97 budget build truck! http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/97568-my-budget-build-3rd-gen.html I found this truck on craigslist and thought it would be a bit out of my price range. My wife and I decided that we were just sick of car payments. We sold our other car and outright bought the runner. After finding this site and seeing that the '97 had quite a few worthwhile upgrades on it (tranny cooler, tundra brakes, tacoma ball joints and TRE's) I figured it was worth the extra coin. Tom made a couple of bucks off me, but he earned it with all he did to rehab this truck. It really is a solid, well sorted vehicle.
This truck will pretty much stay as-is for the the rest of its life. Nothing but fluids, miles and tires for this girl. I may do some small things (tint windows, bike rack, etc.) but no lifts and offroad mods for this truck. Ive been there and done that. I had a '95 Jeep Wrangler with 7" of lift, 35" Boggers, Detroit lockers front and rear, 4.88 gears, etc. I got all of that wheelin out of my system already. Im just happy to have a solid, reliable truck now. So far this site has been quite informative and Ill speak up if I have any questions or concerns.
