Governor of New Jersey Resigns

He had to resign in November to insure another Dem got the office. If he resigned immediately, then the election would have to be held in November and the hot one going for it would be a up and coming republican. It also would have put NJ in the "swing" state category with Bush having a legit shot of winning there. By resigning in Nov, I'm sure it bought him some sort of security in his future and helped out his party.
