Help me price my 2000 Limited

Since the classified section requires that I list a price, I'm hoping for some opinions on what I should expect to get for mine. KBB resale comes out about $5300 for the age, condition, and mileage, but I think it could be worth more to the right buyer. It needs nothing and has been a daily driver for my daughter for a little over 4 years. It's a 2000 Limited 4x4 with e-locker. All stock except for the stereo but I still have the original one. Interior is almost perfect with no rips, tears, or cuts. Rear seat looks like it has never been used because it rarely has. Has fairly new tires and battery. Windows are tinted but to the legal limit here in NC. When I first bought it, I replaced the radiator as a preventative measure. It was throwing an emissions CEL when I first got it, but I swapped the O2 sensor and it has been fine in the 4 years since. It has gotten a couple of door dings parked at my daughter's college but the body and paint is in very good shape otherwise. The only thing that doesn't work, that I'm aware of, is the power lumbar adjustment in the driver's seat. It would make a great daily driver or an awesome platform for a build. Color is Millennium Silver - never been in an accident. 151k miles. Timing belt and water pump service was done before I bought it.

Is the kbb value about what I should expect or should I ask more? Below is a pic. It's not real recent but is a fairly good representation.

My opinion I will pay you $5,500 -$6,200 that's all.

I have a 4Runner it cost about $6,000. The only difference it has been restored all the parts. It Only contains TOYOTA GENUINE parts. Engine has been overhauled from Toyota dealer.

If you put thousands of dollars to your truck like tires, window modifications or other important repairs it will not return its value.

Well 55 - 62 is higher than kbb retail. But I am not trying to get money back for tires and tint. I'm just wondering if having a well maintained, all original, relatively low mileage, cherry 4Runner 4x4 with locker might sell for a bit more than kbb says to the right buyer. When I bought it, I paid the top book retail for it because of the condition and the fact that it had been maintained and the timing belt/water pump work had already been done. There was nothing wrong with the radiator at all but due to the age and the potential for the pink milkshake, I bought a quality replacement and swapped it out - it was cheap peace of mind for me. To be clear, I'm not asking if mods add anything to the value - just curious if the vehicle itself may be worth somewhat of a premium over book.

I believe my history is right here without going back to look. It was purchased new in Maryland by a Navy doctor who then moved to San Diego with it and ended up in Wilmington, NC with it. The person I bought it from took it from Wilmington to Charlotte and now I have it here in Eastern NC. I bought it for my daughter to take to college in the mountains of NC. I registered it on the Toyota owners website and also ran a Vin check on it prior to purchasing it and by putting the 2 histories together, that's how I came up with the above.
 
I would ask no less than 6500 for it simply because it has the e-locker and less than 200k miles. I payed much more for mine from a dealer and from the pictures and description yours is in better condition. Wish I could do a trade for it honestly hahaha.

Then again miles aren't everything. I bought mine with 141k miles and I could tell the previous owner maintained it very well. And then when I changed the valve cover gaskets I confirmed it was taken care of. Still very clean under there.

I've had someone at a Toyota dealership openly offer me $7000 for mine. I had only owned it for 3 months though, and wasnt willing to part with it.
 
Worth about $8500 in the Seattle metro area. They even import used ones from Canada and the East coast to sell here.
 
Ok. I agree with you. Some people sells a 2000 4Runner 3rd gen for $9,000- $10,000. But kbb =$6,000. But adding $3,000-$4,000 more to get their money back is dosent that way.

But I will give you little bit more than kbb but you need to PROFF of receipts of service/ explaining what part did you replace.

Few months ago I was about to buy a 2002 3rd gen for $3,500 but the problem it has it needs everything like shocks, tires, gasket replacement, alternator, brakes, seats, steering wheel poor condition, A/c don't gets cold enough, speedometer not working, switches not working, Steering rack with ball joints, rear drum brake door, starter, EGR. But it's not worth $3,500. But asked a small dealer offering only $500. They told me yes. But I decided not to get it to avoid problems with the truck.
 
Worth more in the rust belt, less in the places that aren't. I'd have no problem paying $6500 for it if all checked out.

Thanks all for the input. Posted it here and on CL Thursday evening and sold it this morning for $7k. I think it was fair, especially with it being so quick and easy. Went to a nice family of a police officer. I hope it serves them as well as it has my family.
