New member looking to buy a 4Runner. Haven't had any luck finding none rust on east coast where I'm at. Mossy Toyota in San Diego has a black 2007 4Runner SR5 that I'm interested in but can test drive or look at it. Can someone look at it for me and let me know? I'm got the sales person the get me some pix but that just doesn't do justice. The sales person says the the techs thinks it's in a very good condition. Many thanks!

The sale person is Jennifer Minadeo. The ad says 94k, but when she gave me carfax it show it show over 100k, it actual is 113k miles. At that price it's not a good deal. She did send me some pix before it got detailed of the car and undercarriage. It wasn't high res so it's not clear to me. It the 4Runner run great and look great and no rust I would like to renegotiate the price with the extra 20k mileage that was misleading. She quoted Shipping to Virginia is $1500. I don't mind paying that if there no rust. It's probably cheaper to pay shipping than to repair and frames/undercarriage of cars I find here locally.

Alright. I can stop by tomorrow around 630. Do you know where the car has been registered previously? The mileage error is interesting, hopefully an honest mistake. They gave me free oil changes and service for a year, so see if you can use that to knock down the price in your case.
Thanks for going to look! The 4Runner was purchased there and has been serviced often at the dealer very often according to the service record I pulled from the vin #. The sales person said it was a typo but I don't believe it. The 94k mileage used in ad may have been last serviced date. They since changed the mileage in the ad.

Good luck with the test drive / sales transaction on the prospective 4Runner! What dealership do you go to in NOVA?
I just use pretty much all search cars/carmax/Autotrader/CarGurus and search nationwide v8/4wd, under 100k miles. I saw a couple 4runners in MD/DC/VA but wasn't satisfied. I searched outside the local area too, but the couple got sold under me as I was doing finance application. If you are looking for v6 there's much more options out there.

Overall, the lines were very clean, only a few knicks in the paint, which is expected. This was the worst portion.
I tried taking a shot of the frame.... Obviously can't see much, but it was clean.
It will move quick.
I'm sure it was a bit of sales talk, but they said they had 3 appts set up for tomorrow.
I saw mine on CL the day it hit the lot. Showed up before it had been detailed and bought it.

Damn. Mbiker_101! That is nice and a better deal. Only if I had the cash. Unfortunately, I need financing. Only reason I went with that dealer was because it was one of the approved dealer with capital one auto loan. originally got a loan approved my bank but had to purchase from VA/DC/MD restrictions. I couldn't find anything here and all 4Runner I saw had some rusting underneath.
