how many miles do you drive daily ?

My miles are 99% highway aka parkway which I guess is better then stop and go traffic. I won't start this new job till September, which is little while. I'm thinking about buying a old school carola, like 95-99.

CdaleR4000si, does your engine feel like it's going to die anytime soon? How strong does it feel ? I wonder how much a 5vz can take! I know it's a lot. I had to replace my 174k miles , bought it with 173 and the head gasket went. So I replaced it wirh jdm which had 60k also replaced front and rear seals with oem!

Hopefully I'll find a decent Carola, and keep the 4runner for fun/weekends and as backup !

My DD is a 1995 honda accord which gets about 27mpg, but about to get a 1985 Merc 300sd that gets about 35 mpg on diesel. I might end up doing the veggie conversion. Hard to say how many miles a day but it usually turns out to be 450 a week. I take the kids to two schools, head to work, then there's sports practice, art classes, and dance lessons...I drive the runner on Fridays because it just makes my Friday sooo much better.
