I-40 travel

Any one been back & forth on i-40 recently ? Son & I making rode trip to check out Trinidad St in Co. Heard quite of bit of const . Any info is appreciated ! :noidea: Mainly Az & Nm

As of 2 months ago, there was construction just east of Kingman (which is good because this stretch really needed it), Flagstaff (which is good because this stretch really needed it as well), then by Holbrook, another long stretch just west of Gallup (this stretch is always under construction it seems), and at Coors Rd in Albuquerque. The two that will probably slow you down the most are, the construction by Gallup and the construction in Albuquerque depending on what time of day you roll through there. Use caution on I40, traffic has been really thick lately and there have been quite a few bad accidents between Gallup and Albuquerque. Traffic thins out quite a bit after Santa Fe though.

I recommend checking out What A Grind and The Cafe in Trinidad for some good food and coffee

Thanks Ron was hoping you would have been down this road recently !!!!!! Been up to Flag & knew that thx . But has been MANY yrs since past that , yep good to know about Gallup thru Albq. We're going to check out school & it's a quicky back by Wed for next day knee surgery , anyway much appreciated info ! Thought about going back way on St 89 ? Might be just as bad ?

Thx Ron you were on it !! Eastbd was very light only a cpl of bad spots & your Coors rd was the worst . Thru to Sante Fe was light & almost finished . Now coming back west was a lot rougher especially east of Kingman , bone shaking ! Thanks for the heads up .
