Hey guys, I just registered today because I've been looking around trying to find ways to better my 4runner. A couple days ago, my friend gave me 4 35" super swamper tired that came off of his neighbors land cruiser. He said that his neighbor thought they would fit on my stock 98 sr5 4runner but I'm not so sure. I'm up at school with the tires at home until the summer but I wanted to use the time to research my options. Do I need to do any sort of lift to fit the tires on? I'm pretty positive that I will need to and thus my main question is, if I have to lift it to fit the tires, how much do I have to lift it and what would be the best way? I'm putting the tires on mainly for look but I was also thinking of occasionally going on some trails when and if I put the tires on. Additionally, the 35's would be on basically in the summer only considering my commute to school is around 7 hours going 80-90mph on the wranglers, I won't want to make the commute with the 35s.
Since I won't be doing hardcore offroading and wont really be utilizing the lift for much more than putting on 35s on the summer, what is the best option? Keep in mind that I would prefer to continue fitting into parking garages at least when I take off the 35s.
Thanks a lot in advance.
