Installing Class IV hitch on V8 with class III

So I just recently read that only in Canada that some 4th gen v8'a came from the factory with a class III hitch instead of the class IV.

Looking at other photos of class IV's I've figured out mine has a class III. Not the highest issue as I don't plan on towing anything page but eventually I plan on putting some dirt bikes and other toys on a hitch and would rather be well above the rated weight if possible.
I understand the class III is mounted to the rear crossmember and the class IV is mounted to crossmember and the frame.
Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the class III and out a class IV on? Are they bolt on? Weld?
I imagine a hitch shop could do the work but would rather have an OEM class IV hitch installed.

I actually have a class IV bolt on hitch that I can part with. I'll snap some pictures if you're interested. It's a fully bolt on affair.

yes, they are bolt on.

in fact I don't think I've ever seen a factory hitch welded on any vehicle.

They are bolt on. A friend removed his heavy-duty one and as soon as I have a couple free hours I'm going to swap mine out. I'll take pictures if no one has by then. I actually would mind a couple of photos myself because there are a couple of plates that I'm not sure where they go.
