is semi synthetic bulk oil ok for our 4runners?

I have a coupon for a oil change. and they use semi synthetic bulk oil. I currently have regular oil in it right now.. would this be ok or no?

Yes it would be fine since you have reg. oil in there right now it would be like a mini upgrade but really the way to go is full synthetic ( better gas mileage, increased wear protection, easier cold start and the list goes on.)

As long as it is SAE 5W-30 and meets and/or exceeds API Standard "SL" you can put what ever oil you want in the vehicle. A full synthetic is always a good choice in most automotive applications, but a semi-synthetic/synthetic blend (Base III stock) will work just as well.
