Is this a good deal on a 4th gen?

Hi all,

I don't own a 4runner yet but I am in the market for one. A local dealer is selling a 2009 SR5 rwd for $9,000. It is white and has 151,000 miles. It's on craigslist but wasn't sure if I could post it on here. They had it originally listed for $11,000 but have been dropping it every few weeks. Is this a good price? It looks really clean in the pics.

Kbb says that price is well below market value. Pay for a 3rd party mechanical evaluation.

Check for rust is #1 thing. 2wd may seem ok for the right price, but really think about if you truly want 2wd vs 4wd. When you need 4wd it will make you wish you spent a few extra thousand on a 4wd. If you really never will need it, then maybe this is a good deal for you. Thats likley why the price keeps dropping and it's not selling, its 2wd, most people want 4.

Yes it's a 2wd. Thanks i'll have it checked out by my mechanic

I would rather have a 4wd but here in Vegas they are very rare and when one is up for sale it usually sells that day. I've never been in a situation where I needed it so not a big deal for me but yeah it would be cool to have it.

Seeing you are in Vegas, call Robert Anderson at Henderson Toyota. He's an online sales rep and owns a 4th gen since 2003. He runs a Toyota forum in NV and knows much about the market there. He might have some input as he sees trade-in all the time. Tell him I recommended you. We go back to off-roading together back in 2005 in our 4th gens.
