How is towing the larger camper after adding 285s?

Trailer is a Pacific Coachworks Seaside model 2250. We opted for one without the slide to get the most interior space without the weight of a slide. I do miss the slide in the RPOD, but honestly the weight would have put me in that white knuckle zone. Dry the trailer is 4420lbs. With the airlift, 10% better load springs and weight distribution hitch, it tows surprising well. You can feel the weight and the the sway a little more than the RPOD, but honestly, it pulls it very, very well. The B&M Aux transmission cooler also helps a lot. It has a triple bunk, dinette and queen bed, so 6 comfortably can sleep. The dinette maybe able to handle 2 smaller kids, for 7, but I would say 6 is reasonable. They do have another model we considered that adds a couch which can house another 1-2...

Price was right, so I decided to go from 265's to 285's

Test fit, and sure enough, slight Body Mount Rub. Having BMC done on Wednesday, and decided I couldn't wait to have them put on. Will post pics of them installed soon.

I have heard various stories about towing with 4Runners but I believe your bigger camper is the largest one so far. I’m considering a Rockwood GEO PRO. From reading your list of mods, I didn’t see a gear change. I would be willing to change to 4.56 and stick with 33” or smaller tires.

Any insight you can provide on towing will be GREATLY appreciated.
