Well, we've still got the 4Runner, but I've shifted my focus to the van. I'll continue to post, but mostly during heavy winter storms when we need the runner to get us to the trail head. But for now, I'll be driving a lifted Ford Transit Ecoboost 350 XLT. It sounds slow but.... ‎400 lb-ft torque‎ @ 2500 rpm and zero to 60 mph‎: ‎6.8 seconds....the fact that I can roast my 4runner in a giant van with literally ALL of my gear makes me smile

That thing is awesome! Did you decide to do a 4wd conversion?

BTW, congrats on the recent nuptial!

Thank you!

No we went back and forth on the 4WD, but I don't think I need it. I actually don't want to take the van where I would need 4WD. In my opinion it's too big to be wheeling where I would need it. In fact, I rarely use the T4R's 4WD. In the end I can always add it if I decide to go that route.

Magpul Eyewear

As most of you know I am a Product Manager at Magpul Industries. We recently announced our Eyewear Program and I would like you guys to check it out. I've been working on this project for over 2 years and it's been a great experience. If you're looking for a great pair of sunglasses that are also ballistic rated, check out our line. The Explorers are my personal favorite and seem to work well with all face and head shapes / sizes.

Here's the release video

FYI, we're an independent manufacturer with absolutely no association with Luxotica.

if J-BlickPhoto wasnt real...we would have to make him up just for the T4R folklore...

who IS this guy...skis, rock climbs, hikes the best mountains, surfs, shoots,
J-BlickPhoto - the man, the myth, they T4R hero

my only question is, with all of the dreck on TV these days that calls itself REALITY TV...why doesnt this guy have a show? no dialogue, just a camera following him and his woman doing their thing.

when i joined this forum, i saw a new post in this thread, and started scrolling...an hour later, after scrolling through about 6 pages of amazing photos, i was so hooked, it has become the ONLY thread that i get email updates for. Today, after having missed many months of updates, ive found myself scrolling through the last 7 or 8 pages of photos again...

ok, so you bought a sprinter van...that takes all of 3 cents of luster off of the jewel...but seriously, rock on sir...

and i still say, if not a full show, he should have had a wonderfully cinematic Toyota commercial by now "Let's Go Places...with THIS guy"

Ford van looks killer, and I especially love Sprinters as they are just so bad ass! There is a company in Oregon that does complete fabrication on them new, they look absolutely ridiculous in a good way. I’ve always told myself, if my wife and kids ever left me, I would cash it all in, buy a decked out Sprinter and live down by the river...

It's been a while

I'll keep it short...

I've still got the 4Runner and no I'll never sell it. It's nearly 10 years old and I want to see it turn 30.

Still got the van for longer road trips or when bigger climbing and ski trips. I spent the summer building it out, which was a pain in the ass and it's still not done.

Enter the next project...

For the past 3 years I've been looking for a early 90's one owner Toyota pickup (Colorado truck). 2 months ago I found one. The guy lives a few miles from me, bought the truck in Boulder, and drove it to and from work for nearly 30 years.

It's mint....

I've owned 1 toyota pickup, 1 Taco, 2 4Runners, and 1 Tundra...and this little truck is by far my favorite. She's a time capsule of AWESOME! :usa:
