Jeep convert from Central Texas

Hi,
I bought my 4runner back in September, but I'm just now getting around to posting on here. I've been pretty impressed with the little Toyota so far.
I lucked out and bought a pretty nice 99 Limited 4x4 that has all the options for $3500! It needed some maintenance done, but that's ok with me.
I have a build thread started and I'll keep it updated.

Looks sick! I hope I can make mine look pretty sick I just got it for 5600 with 169k on it not sure if I got it for a good price or not but it powers in the snow so far!

Thanks! That's a pretty good price and a lot lower mileage.

Honestly, I'm not sure how I got mine so cheap. I still browse CL for 4Runners, mostly looking for various parts. I commonly see them for over 5000 for 4x4s. 4Runners are very prevalent in my area, but not many 4x4s. The only ones I see for sub-3500 are completely trashed or have 350k miles and some combination of both.
I think it just depends on the deals at the time. I bought mine from a retired attorney who had it for like 10 years and didn't put many miles on it, mostly used to get to the deer lease. So the first owner put nearly 200k on it in the first 7 years. So, it was more than likely someones long distance commuter and I seriously doubt the first owner ever used 4x4 and the 2nd owner said he only used 4x4 once or twice.
But I think I just got lucky, for once.

Thanks, yes it is Hidden Falls. I'm down in Buda. I have been to HF quite a few times, I had a 77 CJ5 that was built pretty good and we would head out to the falls. I've been 4 wheeling for a few years. I've had a Bronco, a couple Jeeps, and now the 4Runner. I think the 4Runner is my favorite, but the CJ was pretty cool...

Right on. I've only been there once but it was cool we had a few 4runners show up for a meet. Looks like there's a group going this weekend but I can't make it. Trails will prob be really washed out with all the rain we just had
