keyless entry remote for 01 4runner sr5 sport

ive been looking on ebay and they are like 20 bucks buy it now. compared to like 110 or whatever it is at the dealership. I was wondering if the sport editions came with the factory alarm because I dont want to have to go up to the dealer one more time just to ask them if the numbers off one of those remotes would work with mine.

Just wandering what yall think.

I have an 01 SR5 4WD and it came with the factory remote entry. If its a complete kit, $20 isnt a bad deal at all.

They all came with keyless entry but the alarms weren't standard. the remotes should work with the alarm though provided its for a 99-02 (rs3200+)

if not i think the remotes ive found for about 20 or some for 14 if it doesnt work its not a real big loss.

My '02 Sport did NOT come with the factory alarm.

I bought a spare $20 keyless fob off eBay and it works perfectly. Perhaps the keyless fob works regardless of whether an alarm is installed.
