Leaking oil?

So while I was prepping to replace my radiator, I realized I've got what seems to be an oil leak. You'll notice 1. Has no leakage but 2. Is covered in oil. Is that something to be worried about? What is that thing?

It's probably the oil that dripped from changing the oil filter.

Alignment cams, something from above is leaking onto one of them. :cowboy:

They are the front differential brackets. As someone else said, probably from oil changes, but look above the oil filter and see if any oil is coming from above it.

I can't tell from your picture so all I can say is that I had a very heavy passenger side only oil leak which turned out to be fully described here.

He has a V6, so that doesn't apply here.

Another vote for mess from oil changes.

Well, if that's oil from replacing the oil filter, who's doing the oil changes and not wiping things down after they get the new oil filter installed? It always pours onto the front diff and other areas so I wipe things down with a rag afterward. If it's the OP, Dude wipe it down after you get done so you know when you see oil under your rig it's an actual leak. If it's a shop doing oil changes for you, I suggest you chose another shop because that's sloppy work.

I'd clean everything really well and then keep an eye on it to see if more oil collects again. Then you'll know you for sure you have a leak.
