...for a truly superb forum. I'm a new member and owner in Metro Atlanta. I'm selling my '02 Xterra and just bought an '07 T4R Sport 4x4 with 96k miles.
I joined the Xterra Owners Club forum in 2000 and have been on it, Club Xterra and others for all these years so I know and deeply appreciate how useful a strong owners' forum can be. That's why I uttered a heartfelt "Hell, yeah..." when I found this one.
There were a couple of issues when we bought the 4Runner a couple of weeks ago, one of them huge: the 4WD wouldn't engage. Thanks to T4R.org, I was up on what the causes might be, understood what the dealer was talking about when he called back and said they were replacing the 4WD actuator, and knew what a massive bullet we had dodged by getting that fixed.
On the drive home from picking it up, we noticed the rear wiper wouldn't turn on and half the multifunction display was dark. Those were on me because I forgot to check the wiper and had only driven the truck in the daytime. I told my wife not to worry 'cause I knew where to find the answers. Got on here and searched, then tried rolling the rear window all the way up. Yep, that was the trouble with the wiper and I've already changed out both bulbs behind the MFD.
The pride everyone here has in their trucks and this site is very evident and the knowledge and insight shared is much appreciated. Glad to be here.
