Lift installed(pics)my speedo is lit up like a christmas tree. Help! ABS,VAC ect.

So I just got my truck back from the shop and all of my traction,abs lights are on. Anyone have any experience with this?

Just a lift should not cause this. Perhaps they unplugged an abs sensor?

So the ABS light illumenated as well? Check the ABS Fuse in the fusebox under the hood on Drivers side.

Abs fuse is good...Is there anyother fuses I can check? I pulled the vcs abs and the other big fuse on the passanger side. They dont look burnt. What would they have disconnected while putting my lift in?

really though a lift shouldn't mess with any of that stuff, none of the abs parts should have been messed with at all, pull the battery and clear the codes and see what happens

Disconnected the battery and still nothing.. What controls the Trac/Vsc-trac/break, and abs? Are there any plugs that could have been disconnected? In the rear could they have hit something ?

Figured it out..I think. So i did the zero level thing and that turned off my abs and break light. I finially started searching under my truck for wheel sensors aor damaged abs sensors. I worked my way to the back and found cut/burnt wires that run on top of the shock(top), where they eye is. I could only feel and see a corner of where it had been stripped/cut/burnt. How in the hell am I going to get those wires down to resplice them? It seems like I would have to cut through my trunk pan.. Anyone have any experience with those trac wires?

See the two gray looking wires that are just above the parking brake cable. I would check to make sure those are not pulled apart.

Why not take it back to your mechanic? If I were him I'd quietly be expecting you to show up anyways. It would have been kinda hard to miss all the idiot lights when he rolled it out of the shop.

I agree with you about taking it back. The only problem is they put the lift in for dirt cheap because we do a lot of buisness with them. I feel bad about it but I have little choice. If I I could reach those wires/pull them out from behind where the top of shock goes through I would be fine.

Would have been better off doing it myself. What kind of 4runner will I need to get the same wires from? Do all 96-02 have trac(vsc)?, assuming that those are indeed the wires for vsc..

Soo this is what I couldnt see. I had to twis my arm with phone and snap these pics. This is what I think are the wires for vcs. Does anyone have or know where I can get a wiring diagram for these?

Ughh.. I just drove alittle bit and the abs and brake light came back on along with the already vcs and track lights. Its got to be the wires that were damaged above that shock tower. That diagram is confusing, I noticed the blue/white and red/yellow. Wish it had a diagram of where they are located.

Your problem sounds more of a leveling issue? have you tried the jump wire on the Ts under the diagnostics plug?

Yeah I have done the zero point calibration many times. Also used the SG to check for codes and didnt get anything. I am going to do what you did and just check every inch of wire I can find to see if I find a short.

Do you or anyone know an easy way to get to those wires without cutting through the trunk pan or fender well? How hard is it to lift the body up in the back, is that possible? I have a lift/chain hoist ect. Well, first im going to take it back to the shop that put it in and see what they will do.
