Lift Kit and TD Insurance

Put an OME BP51 lift on my 2018 TRD Offroad. Great service and experience dealing with "Ski" at CT Motorsports. He told me in advance the lift might cause a problem with my insurance and warranty. So I discussed specifically with insurer TD beforehand, who told me it was no problem. They said I should call back when it was done with the cost, so that they could increase the replacement value of the vehicle to reflect that. Today it is done and I call back and am told they refuse to insure any vehicles with a lift under any conditions so I am suddenly with out insurance. Be forewarned. Another reason not to do business with TD.

Problem solved

I bank at RBC so called their insurance 800#. No problem at all if lift is less then 6" and actually slightly cheaper too. Now need to move all my other business from TD to RBC.

Final comment

Moved all insurance all vehicles to RBC. No problem having a lift of a few inches. Also notable that turns out that TD is not a broker but rather an agent. They only sell insurance from one company, which is owned by TD.

Do you have a contact at RBC that you can share? I was hoping to get a lift too for my 4runner and I tried calling around to places including RBC to see if they will cover the vehicle post modification and all of them said they would not. Any assistance or insight would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
