Low Beam Bulb Swap: Sylvania H11 SilverStar zXe Gold

I’m looking at swapping out just the low beam bulbs on my 2020 TRDP.

All I want to achieve here is to have low beams that match the white of the LED fogs.

Anyone swap out their OEM bulbs with these and what are your impressions?

If you want to match the fogs you will need LEDs or HIDs. I tried that exact one before and believe it's not white. It's yellow!

Well that sucks. And the box says “high end white” which would lead one to think they may be white.

Just looking for a drop in, white bulb replacement of the OEM bulbs. It’s amazing how unclear this $hit is.

Have not tried those, but have the philips h11 swap. very impressed with them. whatever you get , dont get too much blue(Xeon), as the more blue the shorter the life of the bulb. try to get something like 400h minimum bulb life.

as for leds, i think they are a waste, as the halogen casing is designed for halogen and not leds. you will not get good lighting distance, unless you change the whole casing .

Another note on the fogs, the yellowish the better for fog.. my 2 cents

You and me both man. Check out all the threads on a H9 “conversion”. With a minor trim, H9 bulbs can be run safely in place of the h11. Not only will they produce an increase in lumens but you can use one of these bulbs to help get the color temp where you want it.

If you’re going to screw with replacing the bulbs, at least do something about the pi$$ poor stock light output on your brand new truck.

Have yet to execute on this myself. We real lazy round these parts. Just tryna throw you a bone before you bought the H11s only to be disappointed with the color/output.

Grab any premium bulb like the sylvania you posted, but in H9 instead of the stock H11, trim the bulb connector slightly to enable it to plug in and you’re golden.
