Magnetic Grey 3rd Gen

After ogling some mag grey 5th gen trail premiums - I'm perusing the idea of taking my newly acquired 4WD 3rd gen, and doing some work. Including a paint job and complete interior upholstery job.

I know there's always the thundercloud grey, but has anyone seen a magnetic grey or dark grey paint job on a 3rd gen? Any pictures would be much appreciated.

I used Toyota magnetic grey for my wheels and bumpers. I thought black was a little harsh when I first painted the bumpers and changed it over to grey. It goes really well with my paint color. Not sure about painting the whole vehicle in that color but it works well as a compliment.

I like the grey that comes on the flares of the anthracite trucks. the anthracite is sort of barely brownish.

I love the Anthracite color, I just did not think a gloss black looked very good with it. Magnetic grey is a very neutral color so just about anything will go with it. Anthracite is a difficult color to describe, it looks different when the lighting changes. You could paint your truck magnetic grey and use the anthracite as a trim color.

Looks good, any pictures of the front?

What's wrong with an Anthracite 3rd gen? Aren't those two colors similar?

They are both greys, but the Anthracite is much more of an earth tone (Still a cool color). Magnetic has a blue to it that I like. I'm going to paint my 3rd gen and I'm thinking of doing something unique for a turn of the century T4R. After 5 years of black I think it would be nice to not have to clean it once a day. In my head it looks sweet. Just would be cool to see if anyone has done it.

not the hijack but talking colors....

what's the official color on the license plate holder? it's like a grey gun metal... ish... I wanted/want to paint my flares the same color.

Where did you get the paint from and how did you spray it? I want a color for small things here and there but black looks way too generic.

Some auto parts stores mix up paint for customers by paint code. I work at one and I had them mix up a pint of 1CO Millennium Silver for me and it matches pretty well.

Found it in St Thomas in the biggest auto parts place. I would guess any place that has a good selection of dupli color would have it.
