More monkey madness: Enkei RPT1 katakana centercaps

Sooooooo, I’m catching up on a big job at work this week and babysitting the CNC gives me lots of little chunks of free time to get into trouble...

What kind of trouble, you ask?

The best kind of trouble. Machinist unobtanium. The RPT1 wheels on my rig have a smooth 109mm centerbore without a lip and I’m not aware of any caps that fit them (No, I didn’t bother looking for them anywhere). I saw those TEQ grille badges a while back, but that design isn’t really my jam. So I asked a Japanese friend to find me a better logo. And he did. Like a goddamn champion. So, I messed with some design variants and came up with something I like and printed it overnight last night. I’m gonna cut them tonight after work and throw them in with a load of black anodization on Monday:

Pretty stoked.

No, I won’t make any extra sets.

Yes, I Sharpied out the white lettering on my wheels. It's hideous, I know. I'm waiting on a black tire paint roller-pen to fix it, lol

I like the effort....but I am OCD over symmetry. The Logo needs to be centered IMO. I agree the black center looks killer on the grey wheel.

Fair enough. I tried it centered and it just wasn’t quite right to my eye. Large, medium, small... didn’t matter.

Actually, it’s not that it didn’t work. It was a little predictable and boring. I like doing something a bit more unexpected.

That said, you’re definitely *not* going to like what I’m working on for the rear logo... [emoji6]

Being a machinist myself I was all about symmetry. I have since learned to embrace asymmetry. Still works when I mow my lawns, though. LOL! Love your work. Leave ‘em black. It’s a Nightshade. Blacked the sombreros on my stock center caps.

Yep! It was sittin’ on the showroom floor just the way it is. Can’t take credit for mods. Just comin’ up on 5K miles. No problems and butt dyno says it my be as quick as my ‘07 Tundra 5.7. Mileage is ‘bout the same as my ‘13 Limited ‘Runner. Best if a dealer or “Certified” mechanic installs it. Magnuson has a thee year warranty. Traded in my ‘13 ‘Runner and my ‘15 Mustang GT. No regrets.

Hey I really like how the centercaps look! I just got the RPT1's myself and I really can't stand the way they look without centercaps, specially being in Canada I see way too much rust peeking through.

Would you be able to send me the file? I have a buddy with a 3D printer that said he could print them for me
