I always make a point to park really close to those that think they are so special that they need their own parking. Especially those in a mid-tier vehicle like our TRDPs.

It's a truck, it wants dents, it needs dings, being clean and dent free is like having a couch with a plastic cover over it in a room you're not allowed to enter.

For the record, I had my TRDP offroad in the first month, came back full of pinstripes and hood chips from the road trip...considered it broken in.

You obviously didn't read my post either, just like the other guy. When did I say I would ding your car? I just said I'd park next to it. That seems to bother y'all more than actually denting the vehicle does, lol.

I'm surprised that lots of people here don't know how to keep their vehicles free of dings on public parking. First of all, as many mentioned here you need to have sliders or running boards. Then you need to park BETWEEN looking new and clean small cars preferably expensive like BMW, Mercedes, Lexus and so on. Chances are that new or expensive cars owners value they paint more than you. And even if they careless running boards/sliders will save your doors. On another note OP definitely needs to take his truck offroad, when he survives risk of truck being badly damaged by rocks, trees, mud holes etc he will be proud of small dings and pinstripes and will be just lightly upset about jackasses on parking lots.

I suffer from the same "disease". I have a 2018 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off road Premium. Everywhere I go I am worried about "my baby" do not get dents in the parking lots from shopping cars or other drivers` s doors. In the same time, I am trying to keep my mind sound. It would be very sad to lose my mind because of a car. Don`t you think?

This is good in theory, however I've seen more BMW and Mercedes owners fling their doors open carelessly than most other car owners combined. They think they own the roads and parking lots and if they drive one of those cars are entitled and think that they own the parking lot.

Then probably BMW and Mercedes owners are different in US, here in Canada I didn't see many expensive cars with scratches and dings. But anyway, let them hit your truck with their doors as hard as then can when you have sliders or running boards taking the hit : )
