New 2015 SR5 after 60 miles - and bang

Picked up the new 2015 SR5 early october.
Truck came made in Japan, full of gas, nice weather, sunshine. All was fine.
After 60 miles, hwy 17, half way home we had the idea for a short brake at North Channel.
The way back to the highway was a short gravel road. Oncoming a small car - and bang, a stone chip our windshield. That hurt and I really didn't like that.

Whatever, it's reasonably fixed.
And how is the new 4Runner? After now 1000 miles I'm very happy.
Like the good quality, rugged chassis, no rattling, soft smooth ride and the nose going down when braking. :wink2:

It's a very good truck!

I picked up my '15 TE in September, and I agree, it is a solid vehicle. (I had to drive to Sudbury to get mine, as the dealer in the Sault gets almost no 4Runners, and he will not bring in a trail edition at all, unless already purchased!)
That stone chip is a bummer, and a concern. I understand the Runners' windshield is a bit of a stone magnet. My FJ was bad enough for stone cracks.
Watch out for me on the 17!

Not very often on 17, always 108 up north for fishing. Truck is from the Sault, just ordered when I got a phone call from Sudbury that a new red TE arrived.

I think that was my red TE! They called me to tell me they had one coming in, then called me the day it arrived. I drove to Sudbury the very next day and purchased it. They also sold a white TE the same day.
