New 5th Gen owner in east Illinois here.
After researching here for a few months, I bought my new to me 2011 4runner LE last june, a week later took it on a 4K mile vacation trip out west and have been loving it ever since. Eventually sold my pickup, so now it's my daily driver.
First, thanks to the forum members for unknowingly assisting me in choosing the truck, and then for more assistance on selecting some after-market add-ons.
But the big dose of gratitude is because it was here that I learned about the oxidation issue on the headlamp lenses. It was just barely noticeable on mine, and I wasn't looking forward to replacing those in a couple of years. Saw the problem discussed here, printed out the TSB, and a quick trip to the local dealer followed. They looked at it, read the TSB and immediately ordered the replacements. Two days later, the problem is solved. Without this forum, I'd have not worried about it until it got bad (and out of warranty).
