New Custom Drawer + Sleeper Platform!

I got inspired by YouTube and with the help of my uncle made a custom drawer storage box that transforms into a sleeper platform.

I wanted to keep the rear seats in to retain the practicality of the truck.

It turned out pretty well and should suit my needs for some time. Can't wait to take it on its maiden voyage!

Is the front section to use it as a bed an entirely separate piece? Do you need to carry that independently or does it somehow slide in?

Yeah, the extension is a separate piece that fits in the drawer when not in use. It is under all of the stuff in the photo with the drawer pulled out

I think I understand what you are saying. That is some pretty clever engineering. It would be a major PITA to have to store and deal with that separately.

Yes, I agree that was my main goal to keep it easy to all put away when I am in the city to not draw any attention.

The hunk of wood inside the drawer (right side) acts as 'legs' to support the extension piece when in the bed position. Like a cross support type of thing.
