Hey guys, my brother had a '99 Limited for about 5 years. And now it's mine! I've had it for about a year now and I love it. (Best hand-me-down anyone could ask for)

Welcome to the T4R Forum, Brudda. I live in Virginia Beach, VA (the best part of Virginia...screw NOVA!) I used to have a '99 4Runner too (my first vehicle when I first got my license), but unfortunately I got into a nasty accident where insurance deemed the 4R as totaled! I now own a 4th generation 4R, a '04 white. If you didn't know already, your '99 4R falls under 'third generation' category just in case you have future questions or concerns about your 4R so your best bet would be making a thread in that particular section of the forum. Give me a holler if you ever come down to Virginia Beach, there's a chick who works in VB so that's about the only person I know is closest to me. I'm sure she'll be posting in this thread soon, but again; let us know! If you're a fan of golfing or taking a trip down to OBX, definitely give me a holler as I would be down to roll with! Nothing's more fun than getting together with fellow T4R owners & chat about the 4R's while having a good time in general. Again, welcome to the forum!
 
Haha! Yeah, yeah. Thanks for the info and welcome. Sorry to hear about your '99. As for golfing, all I have in the trunk right now is a set of clubs (just in case) lol.
 
Right on brother....I'm in Reston, VA....and lookin for my first t4r (3rd gen). Lots a used and abused ones, but I'll find one sooner or later. What do you all think about the locking differential option....I know it's got to be a great option, but is it necessary for mild to moderate off-roading?
